“Entering Brach Madrid is like entering a private home. An infinite number of surprising and mysterious objects, collected for their sentimental and therefore priceless value, are scattered around the hotel providing a wealth of surprises. Never in the history of the hotel trade has there been a place so precisely poetic: every detail, every material, adds to the story of the longing of a man who has known beauty and love, and has dreamt of them ever since. So we keep coming back to Brach Madrid because the place demonstrates such affection everywhere.” Philippe Starck The city’s hustle and bustle, vibrant both by day and by night, is a perfect match for Brach’s magnetic energy.

Design
Completed in 1922, the seven-storey building was built on a site steeped in history: Victor Hugo lived there as a child, and the current building has been home to notable tenants such as the Alfonsos, a famous dynasty of photojournalists.
Now magnificently restored, the architecture resonates with Philippe Starck’s vision of the 1920s and 1930s. Each space, each detail, each material, each object conveys a modern nostalgia, the contrasting soul of Spain: the telluric strength of the lobby, paved entirely in terracotta, counterbalances the weightlessness of the celestial whites in La Capsule, while the restaurant’s rustic, woven-leather ceilings counter the sophistication of an art gallery window…
Poetic memory and opposing polarities, far from clashing, combine to form the indefinable, magnetic unity of Brach, the spirit of an establishment to which we return again and again, because it is so dear to us.
Hotel Brach Madrid has been selected, from Welcome to Spain DMC & MICE, among the 6 best hotels in Madrid in the "ORIGINAL STAY 2025" category.
Welcome to Spain Dmc & Mice offer meet and greet at the airport and Free private airport transfer.

A selection of fine books, a mini-concept store, access to La Capsule and transformative treatments… A vibrant, rejuvenating lifestyle at the very heart of the energy of Madrid.

RESTAURANT
As you enter the Brach restaurant, you can imagine Salvador Dalí, Luis Buñuel and Federico García Lorca sitting here, rewriting the world as poets. Philippe Starck has recreated the atmosphere of the grand cafés, the hotbed of intellectual and artistic freedom.
A jumble of paintings in eclectic styles and a collection of beautiful objects give the illusion of entering a place that belongs to the past, endowed with a “poetic memory”. The open kitchen infuses the restaurant with all the energy of Chef Adam Bentalha’s vibrant cuisine.
Created by chef Adam Bentalha, the menu at Brach Madrid exudes conviviality and Mediterranean flavours with hints of the Middle East. The flavours of these sun-drenched countries brought together in his dishes are a natural extension of Spanish cuisine, which is all about sharing: “my menu really comes into its own here, because we’re now in a country where the gastronomic scene is very cosmopolitan”, says the Chef. The Brach Paris classics and signature dishes are still featured, along with a few nods to some typical Spanish dishes.
For a more intimate dinner, private dining room.
Adam Bentalha
Born in Constantine, Adam Bentalha began his career in the great Parisian restaurants. Brach Paris offered him his first position as Executive Chef.
His cuisine, infused with the flavours of the Mediterranean, is founded on sun-drenched produce, spices and aromas from far-off lands, carefully selected from producers. Generous and authentic, Adam Bentalha’s lively cuisine is a fusion of his memories and the riches of Mediterranean cuisine.
A cuisine imbued with joy and generosity that defies fashion.
BAR
In a nod to Spanish village cafés, the cocktail bar features large bottles wrapped in woven straw. Their shape is reminiscent of the balloon bottles in which Catalan wines such as Rancio are aged. Lined up above the counter with small taps, these bottles add a fun, folksy dimension to serving drinks. This simplicity contrasts with the sophisticated mirrors, which make the glassware, bottles and guests’ eyes shine.
